My Story

Whilst I was brought up in a Christian home and used to go to Church on a regular basis when I was young, it was largely to please my parents. As I grew up I thought that I was a good person, generally speaking, and didnít feel the need to know God. I enjoyed going to parties and lived for today with no real thoughts about the future.

When I was 21, I was diagnosed as having epilepsy and had to give up driving which was a really low point in my life.

A couple of years later, I met my wife to be and she invited me along to church one weekend. I thought I might as well give it a go to please her but much to my surprise I met people that did really care for one another. I had read about this in the Bible when I was younger but had never experienced any real evidence of this. For the first time in my life I now had a real desire to know more about Jesus and wanted to find out more about the love that these people clearly had.

It wasnít too long before I started to understand, in a very real way, that Jesus had not only died for me on the cross but that he had risen from the dead to save me from my sins and that he wanted me to take a step of faith to show that I trusted him.

Since Iíve given my life to Jesus I have a real assurance of knowing that one day I will be with him because he promises eternal life to all who believe in him. Looking back, I can testify to the way that God has helped and protected me from many things.
Whilst I have had many ups and downs in my Christian life and made many mistakes, I know that Jesus loves me and, in his grace, forgives me for the times I get things wrong.

My hope is that you too will come to know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
