Tim Hanson
Tim grew up in Norfolk before working for 6 years as a Police Constable in east London. Having become a Christian as a teenager at a Scripture Union Camp, he got involved in Christian ministry at All Souls Church in the west end of London and then trained for local church leadership at Oak Hill college in north London. Only south London is missing! Following 5 years as curate in Bournemouth he came to Christ Church in 2000. He is married to Beth who works locally as a GP. They have three children; Ruth, Sam and Thomas. Tim’s vision is “to give everyone in Winsford an opportunity to hear of God’s saving grace offered in Jesus Christ through the cross of Calvary”. This requires Christians to be equipped and encouraged through lively fellowship, prayer and the careful exposition of God’s Word the bible.
Tim says, “What a wonderful privilege it is to be forgiven by God, on the basis of what Jesus Christ did on the cross. What a great responsibility it is to be entrusted with this message of forgiveness; Christians must guard this message by not changing it and by telling it wherever they go.”
Tim loves playing lots of sports but is reaching the age where golf is the only real option! He would love to be better at this. He keenly supports Norwich City FC, despite their fading fortunes. At the time of writing he is excited about the Ashes test series; “a repeat of 2005 will do just fine!”.
