Christ Church Preschool
About our Preschool
Christ Church Preschool is a community preschool situated in Wharton, Winsford. It is run by qualified and experienced staff and overseen by a committee made up of church members and Preschool staff. All our staff and committee members are CRB checked.
We believe that young children learn through playing. Purposeful play is essential for motivating and encouraging young children to be creative, to develop their ideas, their understanding and their language. At Christ Church Preschool children are encouraged to make choices and initiate their own play using carefully selected resources, while adult-led activities guide children along paths of discovery and exploration. This balanced combination promotes independence and confidence in a safe, secure environment.
Our Aims
- To provide a warm, caring, friendly and safe environment where every child is given the opportunity to reach their full potential through a curriculum that addresses individual need.
- To help children to make positive social contacts and relationships.
- To provide an atmosphere where every child feels comfortable and may grow and develop in secure and happy surroundings.
- To prepare children for mainstream school by following the Early Years Foundation Stage Themes and Principles.
- To provide, through stories, discussion, actions and prayers, knowledge of how much God loves us all, and how special we are to Him.
