Who are we?

Christ Church, Wharton is an Anglican Evangelical church situated in the mid-Cheshire town of Winsford (about 6 miles from J18 of the M6).

Our mission is: “To make disciples of Christ that form a loving community which enjoys God.”

Our vision is: “A 1000 people attending a Bible believing church within 10 years of 2003.”

We are grateful to God for significant growth over the last few years. A number of people can testify to the power of the Holy Spirit who has brought them to faith in the Lord Jesus as the Word of God has been opened to their minds and hearts. We seek to be CLEARLY EVANGELICAL in our doctrine and practice and COMMUNITY BASED in our evangelism and service.

We employ a full time Childrens’ Work Co-ordinator who works extensively in the local schools and oversees the growing work amongst children and young people.

We are affiliated to the North West Partnership (NWP) and regularly send students on the NWP Ministry Training Course. We work closely with Wharton Junior School (Church of England controlled).
